If you enroll with Wairoa PHO the fee you pay to your Doctor and prescription fees will be cheaper.  You will have access to many free health services in your community.

To enroll you must complete an enrolment form for yourself and your family members at a GP Practice of your choice.

You can enroll with only one GP Practice.  You can attend another practice as a casual patient but you will pay a higher fee for that visit.

Government funding directed from Wairoa PHO to your GP Practice of choice enables the Doctors fee that you pay to be subsidised therefore cheaper.

Every 3 months (quarterly) the medical practices upload new enrolments to the Government (usually in the middle of each quarter period) but the subsidised fees won't be available to the practices until the beginning of the next quarter eg ◊ 1st quarter 1 July - 30 Sept ◊ 2nd quarter 1 Oct - 31 Dec ◊ 3rd quarter 1 Jan - 31 March ◊ 4th quarter 1 April - 30 June. Therefore it is important to enroll with your chosen GP Practice immediately to ensure you receive the Government subsidised fee as soon as possible.
